Alicia studied English and Irish at University College Dublin and went on to complete a Masters in Screen Writing and Screen Directing at Drama Centre, Central Saint Martins, London.
Alicia has produced, written and directed a number of short films including STEELE, a visual art video starring Killian Scott. Her most recent short film, THE PIKE, starring Sinéad Cusack, is currently on the festival circuit and premiered at Cork Film Festival in 2017. THE PIKE featured in the Irish Shorts section and also Best of Cork Shorts. Alicia raised the finance for this project herself and undertook the producing and directing of the film in West Cork with the support of the local community.
Short films written and produced at Drama centre include, BUNCH OF LOVE, which premiered at the Curzon in Soho, London. SHELF LIFE was selected by a number of festivals including Peniche Cinema in Paris, CAM*ERA Film Festival, Brixton Film festival and the Portobello Film Festival.
After graduating from Drama Centre, Alicia was commissioned by the university to produce and direct a film written by the undergraduate actors on the BA course. LIFE IN A BAG premiered at the Actor’s Agent Showcase at the Barbican, London.
Alicia is currently producing the feature film, THE SPARROW. She is also a story liner for RTE’s long running TV soap opera, FAIR CITY.
