Robert Ross Collender joined Tiger Darling in 2023 as Development Executive. Before transitioning in to the world of film, Robert had a two-decade career at the peak of the restaurant industry; working in Dublin, London, Paris and Sydney, and culminating in winning a Michelin Star for his own restaurant, Mews in Baltimore, west Cork.

A relatively new entrant to the world of film production, Robert’s first professional experience was working as a crew member during production of The Sparrow, followed by a number of other crew positions for TV and film productions shot in West Cork. He worked as assistant to producer, Alicia Ní Ghráinne during post-production of Five and a Half Love Stories in an Apartment in Vilnius, Lithuania, before taking up a full-time position as Development Executive with Tiger Darling.

Robert returned to full-time education in 2022, completing a 1st-class honours postgraduate degree in Sustainability for Enterprise at University College Cork. He is passionate about applying the tenets of sustainability to film production, and seeking commercial success with creative, sustainable projects.

Robert has been selected as a participant in the 2024 EMERGE producers programme, run by Screen Ireland and National Talent Academies. He lives and works from home in Ballydehob, west Cork.
